Sustainable design has always been integral to IAN+A’s systems design for high-performance buildings. We work collaboratively with the entire design team to achieve LEED and/or other sustainability standard certification. Many of the buildings for which we have assisted owners in achieving multi-year Energy Star certifications have systems originally designed by IAN+A — a testament to our long-standing commitment to green, energy-efficient systems that positively impact O&M costs and minimize the depletion of resources.
Active members of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), we are also on-board the Architecture 2030 Challenge effort to reduce greenhouse gas-emitting energy consumption in buildings. IAN+A is guiding our clients not only toward energy efficiency, but also to incorporate renewable energy sources into their projects.
